xmlns:fb='http://www.facebook.com/2008/fbml' Friday Night Wife: March 2014
Four years ago I taught 2nd graders and had for five years. For now the Lord has me staying home with my babies. I am a believer in Jesus Christ. I have been married for 8 years to my best friend who just happens to be a football coach. We have four precious baby girls who keep us very busy. I love to spend time with family, craft, bake, cook, watch football, and whatever else comes up. I am hoping to start up a baking business with cakes, cupcakes, and cookies. I hope you enjoy reading about our life as much as I am enjoying blogging about it!

9 Months...Are you sure???

I am not sure how we got here.  I think they just turned six months.  Didn't they?!?!?!  To say that they are growing leaps and bounds is a complete understatement.  They watch everything going on around them and are trying so hard to copy!  From talking to walking...they are trying!
I am apart of a moms of multiples group on facebook and I keep reading about these sets of twins that are so good at sharing.  I read these things and just shake my head.  These two little girls don't share well at all.  I think in the last few weeks I have taken pictures of them wrestling and taking toys from each other than anything else.  It's soooo funny!
Starting to pull up on the activity table to play.

At this point their eyes are still blue, but the verdict is still out!

 Helping with a feeding!
They are everywhere!  I can't leave a room without one of them following very close behind me.  Adda and Ella did the same but I wasn't as busy and only had to keep track of one baby on the floor!
Trying to climb the steps from the sun room

We lowered their mattresses the other night just in time.  I came in after their nap one day and they both were standing on their knees looking over the rails at each other.  The next morning after lowering them I went in and they were both standing!
Here is some of the wrestling I was talking about.  It is constant.  Most of the time they don't seem to mind but every once and a while one starts crawling over the others face or one gets jabbed in the stomach by the other and it hurts!  So there are tears!!!

This is Claire!  She is always first to leave the living room and venture around the house.  She doesn't know the word "no" very well yet.  Chloe gets her feelings hurt when she is told "no" but Claire just keeps going!

Here they are right under my feet while I'm working on dinner.  This is usually about the time they are desperate to be held and start to climb my legs weeping uncontrollably.

I was putting away laundry the other day and stepped in to check on them and this is what I found.  They were both laughing and giggling.  Chloe is actually under the bouncer even though she has Claire's paci.  She kept grabbing Claire's feet and it was tickling her and then she would jump and it was tickling Chloe.  The girls and I got a big chuckle out of this!

So proud of herself!

Racing to get over the step.  Claire was winning of course, and Chloe started pulling her back!  Oh my, these girls are a mess!

If anyone is on the floor they immediately crawl over to you and start mauling you!
Oh, that's Chloe's birthmark on her stomach.  Another easy way to tell them apart when they are naked as a jaybird!

Trying to climb the fireplace!
Crawling under the table is a fun activity too!!

Adda sat on the floor and they flocked to her like ants to sugar!  Adda kept saying, "Mom, help!  Mom, please help!"

They were fighting over the paper!!!

 Chloe won!!!
All 4 of them!  Sweet girls!!!

We don't go back to the doctor for a well visit until they are one year old!  One Year OLD!!!!  What that's crazy!  It just doesn't seem possible that they are so close to a year old!  It's been a great 9 months!  Like I say every time I blog...Hard, but good!!!

38 Weeks In, 38 Weeks Out

We took this picture the other day when we realized that the twins had been out of my belly the same amount of weeks they were in my belly.

This was the morning we left for the hospital.  My body was officially done.  I was up all night that night before with contractions and even threw up.  That was the first time the whole pregnancy to puke!  My poor stomach was stretched to the max and my body was finished.
Here they are at 38 weeks out of my belly!  Almost 9 months old.  What's left of the super stretched belly are marks that will forever take me back to the day they were born.

8 Months Old...A Few Weeks Ago!!!

The twins are 8 months old now!  I feel like this has been the month that they have gained so much personality and spunk.  I'm really starting to see their individuality!  In the past month we celebrated Ella's 2nd birthday, took a trip to New Mexico, and started food!  Here are some of their new accomplishments!!!
  • Army crawling all over the place.
  • Rocking on all fours but have not started moving on all fours yet.
  • Chloe says dada and wawa
  • Claire just started saying mama and wawa (neither one in context, but we think it's so cute)
  • Claire has 7 (almost 8) teeth
  • Chloe has 6 teeth
  • They both are starting to give kisses.  I love wet kisses!  It's so sweet!
  • Started cereal and sweet potatoes.
Here are a few pictures from our last month.
Chloe loves crawling under the exersaucer, even when Claire is in it!
In New Mexico at my parents house.

Watching us eat dinner when we were in Lovington!  How rude to not share the food!!!
Watching cartoons, while I feed the babies.
Drinking their morning bottle.  I prop their bottles up with a blanket until I can get down there to hold the bottles.  Now that they are so active it is really hard to feed them like this.  They want to toss the bottle and crawl around and then come back for more.  Most of the time now when I feed them by myself I have to stop during the feeding with one and hold her to feed her, then finish with the other one.  They will hold the bottle for a little while but then get distracted by the action around them.
 Claire relaxing with Papa!

Chloe with my mom.  They love my mom!  I mean who doesn't!!!!!

Ella got Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs 2 for her birthday and we would put the movie on the computer for them after their bath.  It was like their own little movie theater.
Bath time is so much easier with these seats!  Genius!
 Racing to the bathroom!
A few days after we got home from New Mexico we started cereal.  The first night they thought it was pretty sick and then started to really like it.
Adda was pretty excited to feed the babies!  She has been wanting to feed them food since we brought them home from the hospital.  One day when the babies were only a few weeks old she came in the kitchen and informed my mom and I that the babies wouldn't eat the marshmallow she had been trying to give them!!!!

Gonzo feeding them both at the same time while I cooked dinner
They are every where now!  Neither one of them have mastered crawling on all fours but they are super speedy army crawlers.

Sheesh, let go of the cord!!!

After doing cereal for a week we moved to sweet potatoes.  The first night they weren't enthused but the second night they sucked it down in no time.

It's delish!
Mommy feeding Claire

Not too sure about it!  Don't mind me in my pj's still!!!  I only get ready once or twice a week!  One of these days that will change!
I read on another mom's (of twins) facebook page that her girls share better than her son.  I'm a little nervous about these two.  They fight over toys like crazy!  They were fighting over something here and Claire on the left won, if you can't tell by the smirk on her face.  Chloe was a little depressed about the loss!

Claire playing with her paci!  She has started doing this all the time!

This is very normal!  One is always on the other.  Crawling right over her to get to whatever she wants!  Just a week ago it always was Chloe crawling over Claire, but Claire has decided to join in the wrestling as well!

Giving kisses!

They love this table!  If they fall down they start flipping out until we stand them back up against it.

Claire back on top of Chloe
Eating snowballs in the tent after dinner!  Look at me!!!  I'm in my pj's again!  Somebody needs to come help me get ready every morning!
Everyone joining in the tent fun!
Things are getting pretty fun with these four munchkins.  I only want to run away every once so often and it's only for like 30 minutes or so!  No big deal right?!?!?!  It's exhausting but worth it.  I never stop but that's good for.  Keep me looking to Jesus!  Lord knows I can't do this by myself!!!!
